Werewolf By Night Review: The Fate of Jack and Ted

After being a mystery for so long, fans can finally watch the MCU Halloween special entitled Werewolf By Night. In this latest show, Marvel Studios managed to lift the element of horror in the MCU universe by bringing out some of its flagship monster characters. Including Jack Russell aka Werewolf By Night (Gael Garcia Bernal) and Man-Thing (Carey Jones). Not to forget the ghost hunter Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donelly) who managed to get the Bloodstone heirloom at the end.

Although the show which lasts about 50 minutes has finished the story very well, there are some questions left in the Werewolf By Night ending. Especially regarding Jack's character who still has his curse, Man-Thing who prefers to be called Ted, and Elsa with all her current possessions. Without further ado, just take a look at the discussion below, geeks.

Elsa Successfully Reached Her Goal

Towards the end, after Jack and Elsa managed to free the Man-Thing, they had to deal with the remaining ghost hunters. Everything gets worse after the ghost hunters see Jack bounce off trying to retrieve the Bloodstone heirloom. Knowing that Jack is a werewolf monster, Verusa (Harriet Sansom Harris Eugenie), Azarel, and Barasso, then locks him up with Elsa. Verusa hopes that Jack who turns into a werewolf will kill his stepson, so he doesn't have to get his hands dirty.

But what Verusa doesn't understand is that when Jack transforms into Werewolf By Night, no cage can hold him back. After Verusa used Bloodstone to speed up the transformation process, Werewolf By Night went on a rampage and slaughtered the ghost hunter army. Elsa is the only one who is not attacked by the Werewolf, because previously the two of them had tied up before Jack changed. Not long after the Werewolf managed to escape, Elsa had to deal with Verusa who pointed a gun at her.

Fortunately before Verussa shot, the Man-Thing came and immediately used his power to burn the evil woman. After all the problems were over, Man-Thing then left Elsa at Bloodstone Manor. Because now Elsa is the only heir of the Bloodstone family. He is entitled to all his inheritance, including the Bloodstone heirloom that can make him stronger when fighting monsters. Interestingly, when Elsa is holding her heirloom, the nuances around her immediately change from black and white to colorful.

Through the ending scene, maybe Marvel Studios wanted to illustrate that from the start Elsa was the real heir of Bloodstone, not Verussa or other ghost hunters. That's why when the Bloodstone heirloom was still in Verussa's hands, the feel of the show was very dark as if it was full of darkness. However, when the Bloodstone heirloom fell into Elsa's hands, the scene immediately turned colorful, signaling a happy ending for all of the main characters. Including himself, Jack, and also Man-Thing aka Ted.

The fate of Jack and Ted at the ending of Werewolf By Night

After the show turns colorful, we also see a scene where Jack and the Man-Thing reunite at a simple campsite. The newly awakened Jack is seen wearing the ghost hunter robe that Man-Thing had brought with him after rescuing Elsa. He had also returned to his human form, the reason being that Werewolf By Night was only active at night. In the conversation between Jack and the Man-Thing, it is revealed that they have been on adventures together for a long time. It is also possible that there are other people who often help them.

This is evident from the bomb used by Jack to break through the wall so that the Man-Thing can be free. Since Jack can't use it right away, it means that someone gave him the bomb and helped devise a plan to free the Man-Thing. Unfortunately for now, we still can't confirm whether this speculation is true or not. We also still don't know if they will return in another show or not. What is clear, Jack and Man-Thing agreed to immediately make sushi, with a menu determined by Man-Thing.

That's an explanation of the Werewolf By Night ending which leaves a few questions. Hopefully this discussion will answer all your curiosity. For the future of Jack, Man-Thing, and also Elsa, there is still no official statement from Marvel Studios itself. However, of course we all hope they will return, for example in the upcoming Blade movie, because monster hunters and monsters fit perfectly into the film. What do you think? Let's just wait, geeks.
