The films Teambuilding and Mirciulića, recorded reception in theaters

Nearly 5 million lei were received from the film Teambuilding during its release weekend in Romanian cinemas, a showing that put it in first place at the domestic box office.

The trend was maintained in the second week after release, with receipts of over 2.5 million lei, far above any other international production. If it has another good week, Teambuilding could surpass Miami Bici at the box office, considered the most successful Romanian film of the last 28 years.

Romanian comedy, above preferences

The comedy Mirciulică , a 91-minute film directed by Cristian Ilișuan, was ranked second in Romanian preference. The script was written by Cristian Ilișuan and Mircea Popa (Mircea Bravo).

The film grossed 1.6 million lei in its weekend of theatrical release, surpassing foreign productions such as horror films Smile, Ticket to Heaven and Sweet Food Elf.

Mirciulică is the first comedy film produced by Bravo Films, marking Mircea Bravo's film debut. Followed by over 3 million people, Mircea and his partner, Cristian Ilișuan, decided that, after tremendous online success, it was time to take it to the next level - feature films.

Mirciulică is an independent production that brings the Mircea Bravo universe to the big screen, along with all the characters that the general public loves and is familiar with through hundreds of clips from the online environment. The main role was played by Mircea, who joined established actors from the world of theatre, such as Elena Ivanca, Adrian Cucu, Cătălin Herlo, Dan Chiorean, Denisa Vlad. Romania's most famous grandmother - aunt Lenuța from Chinteni, cannot be left out of this project.

"This is a film made for you, to enjoy it because you have been making our videos for a long time", said Mircea Bravo.

This comedy was written by the creative team of the Mircea Bravo project, led by Cristian Ilișuan, who directed the film and is also behind the famous clip on the Internet. The main action of the film takes place in Gherla, a small town near Cluj-Napoca.

Mirciulića, a Law graduate, played by Mircea Bravo, who has reached the age where she wants to take her own life, feels like a prisoner in her parents' apartment, where she is forced to live after she misses getting into a magistrate's court. Forced by circumstances, he works with a local baron who owns a sanitation company, but things get complicated when he ends up actually working for his boss' wife.

Mirciulică tells a story that will resonate with many young people in Romania and presents the reality of Romanian society as it is, peppered with jokes and incidents in the familiar Mircea Bravo style.

The direction was signed by Cristian Ilișuan, Mirciulică also marked his directorial debut, and the script was written by the creative team of the Mircea Bravo project (Cristian Ilișuan, Mircea Popa, Tibi Codorean, Cristian Ciui, Andrei Vereștiuc).

Mirciulića hits theaters across the country on October 7.
