Currently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is approximately fifteen years old. Starting with the film Iron Man which was released in 2008, to the latest film Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania which is currently showing in theaters, there are many actors who are involved with the world of cinema, both for major and minor roles. Benedict Cumberbatch
MCU loyal fans will know who Benedict Cumberbatch is. The actor who plays Doctor Stephen Strange aka Doctor Strange has starred in many MCU films, including most recently his second solo film entitled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Did you know that Cumberbatch himself actually played a dual role in the MCU, maybe even his status is still maintained today. In the first Doctor Strange film, besides playing the main role, it turns out that he also voiced and did motion capture scenes as the ruler of the Dark Dimension, Dormammu.
Damion Poitier
Not many know that Damion Poitier has played quite an important role in the history of the MCU. When Marvel Studios had not yet cast Josh Brolin as the role of Thanos, in fact, the character of the Mad Titan was played by Poitier in the credit scene of The Avengers. Interestingly, even though he replaced his role as Thanos in the MCU, Poitier is back for another opportunity to play a dual role or a second role as Crossbones' henchman (Frank Grillo) who makes a brief appearance in the opening of Captain America Civil War.
David Dastmalchian
If you have watched the new MCU film, namely Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania which is currently showing in theaters, you may know that David Dastmalchian has a dual role in the franchise. After in the first and second films Ant-Man appeared as Scott Lang's (Paul Rudd) best friend named Kurt, in Quantumania it turns out that he is present as the voice of a new character named Veb. In the Quantum Realm itself, Veb is described as a slime-like creature who is very obsessed with 'holes' in the body.
Gemma Chan
Who would have thought that after playing the antagonist character in the Captain Marvel movie, as a member of the Kree special force named Minn-Erva, Gemma Chan actually got a double role in the Eternals movie which had a bigger impact on the MCU. Where he is present as Sersi, one part of the Eternal created and sent by the Celestials to live on Earth. At the end of the film Eternals, his character is even told to be a Prime Eternal as well as the latest leader of the Earth Eternal group who have succeeded in thwarting the birth of Celestial Tiamut.
Joe Russo
Apart from being active as one of the most influential directors in the MCU, Joe Russo has also played multiple roles in his own films. The first was in the film Captain America The Winter Soldier as Dr. Fine, the doctor told to operate on Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), then becomes Theo Broussard, psychiatrist and victim of Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) in Captain America: Civil War, and finally in the film Avengers: Endgame as a civilian named Bobby who popped up briefly in a vent session for victims of Snap Thanos.
Laura Haddock
Although not as well-known as other MCU actresses, Laura Haddock's role has sparked quite an interesting theory among fans, in which Star-Lord's mother is suspected of being the woman who first stole Steve Rogers aka Captain America's (Chris Evans) virginity. This can happen because Haddock gets a dual role in the MCU, the first as a beautiful woman who asks Cap for autographs in the film Captain America: The First Avenger, and the second as the mother of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) named Meredith. in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Michelle Yeo
The next female actor to get multiple roles in the MCU is Michelle Yeoh. Although he made a cameo appearance in the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, to be precise as one of the Ravager captains named Aleta Ogord, Yeoh apparently returned to appear with a more influential role in the film Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings. In the first MCU film to highlight Chinese culture, Yeoh plays Ying Nan, the aunt of Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) and Xu Xialing (Meng'er Zhang) and one of the guardians of the magical village of Ta Lo.
