Most superheroes in the comic universe, both DC Universe, Marvel Universe, and so on, are often depicted as having origins related to space or Earth experiments. Even so, among the superheroes that have been introduced in various American superhero comics, it turns out that there are also those who are told to come from the hometown of demons or evil monsters, namely Hell. As we will discuss this time, where with powers that come from Hell, these superheroes actually become symbols of hope as well as protectors of the Earth from all its threats!
Hellboy
Even though his existence is still shrouded in mystery, one thing that is certain about Hellboy is the fact that he comes from Hell and is said to be the prince who will become its ruler in the future. This iconic superhero from Dark Horse Comics first appeared in 1993 as a hellish creature accidentally summoned by the Nazis in his comics. Instead of being a henchman for the Nazis and helping them win battles during World War II, with his super physical strength, healing, and demon transformation, Hellboy has instead become a superhero who eradicates demons and other villains that threaten Earth.
Spawns
The next Superhero of Hell, whose origins and existence are well known among fans of American superhero comics, is Spawn. Debuted in 1992 as part of Image Comics, this character created by Todd McFarlane whose real name is Albert Francis Simmons was originally a CIA agent who died at the hands of his boss. Because he felt he could not leave his family, Al, who entered Hell, made a pact to rise again as one of the Malebolgia demon forces. But in the process he instead becomes Earth's superhero and turns against Malebolgia with his superpowers from Hell.
Ghost Rider
First introduced by Marvel in 1972, Ghost Rider is described as a superhero from Hell who gains superpowers after entering into a pact with the demon Zarathos. In exchange for all the power he has, he must be willing to turn his body into a very terrible fire skull. Penance Stare is one of Ghost Rider's extraordinary abilities that allows anyone who looks into his eyes to instantly die. In Marvel history, there have been many Ghost Rider incarnations, such as Alejandra Jones, Danny Ketch, and Robbie Reyes, but the most popular is a former stuntman named Johnny Blaze.
Hellstorm
Still from the same comic universe as Ghost Rider, another famous Marvel superhero from Hell is Daimon Hellstorm. The fact is that Hellstrom is the biological son of Satan as well as the future ruler of Hell. Even though he doesn't deny his status as the child of the meanest devil, Hellstorm decides to take a different path from his father, namely by becoming an Earth superhero who is known to have the power to manipulate fire, telekinesis, telepathy, and even change shape. In his adventures on Earth, Hellstorm also devotes himself as a teaching staff at Strange Academy with Doctor Strange and other superheroes.
Etrigan the Demon
From Marvel, we now turn to the DC Universe, where the universe for the Justice League has a superhero who shares his body with the devil from Hell. It all started with the ritual of summoning the demon Etrigan which was performed by a human named Jason Blood. Even though at first there was inner turmoil between the two of them, in the end Jason and Etrigan made peace with each other and shared their bodies on Earth by becoming immortal superheroes. The combination of magic learned by Jason and Etrigan's demonic powers immediately made them famous as one of the formidable figures in the DC Universe.
